Volunteer at Heather Hill

Volunteers are crucial in any organization, especially when working directly with people. Volunteering gives individuals the opportunity to give back to the community, develop new skills, meet new people, and most of all, make a difference. No matter the reason, volunteers donate their time and energy to show their care for a purpose.

There are many ways to donate your time to a skilled nursing facility, but in whichever capacity our volunteers choose to participate, they always make a positive impact. Whether helping out with a craft, playing a game or joining for an outing, they are constantly met with smiles and affection from our residents.

Why Volunteer in Skilled Nursing

Being involved with the senior community is one of the most rewarding ways to spend your spare time and give back. You may even be surprised by how much there is to learn by listening to residents' stories and life experiences. Sharing a simple conversation or a familiar, friendly smile can go a long way and will never fail to make their day. These little moments enrich our residents and give them a better quality of life.

"I love those residents, and it fulfills me to spend time with them. I laugh when they laugh, cry when they cry. God gave me love and compassion for them, so I want to use my gifts and be a blessing, as they are a blessing. They bring me happiness and joy. It is a pleasure to serve! God is good!"

-Margaret H., Foundations Health Volunteer
