June Cooking Demo - Iron
June 29, 2023
Chef Jason headed to the Chardon Senior Center to host a cooking demo emphasizing iron intake with their seniors. He shared recipes that are good sources of iron, including beef tips, brown rice, and delicious carrot cake cupcakes.

To celebrate the birth of our nation, they also decided to make a patriotic pudding pie parfait. The idea was to incorporate the colors red, white, and blue into a dessert. They made cherry and blueberry pie filling and layered them with homemade vanilla pudding, whipped cream, and red, white, and blue sprinkles.
"Food is something we can all always appreciate. Quality meals are something most people neglect as they rush through the hustle and bustle of everyday life," expressed Chef Jason.
"We want to show our residents, families, and friends that quality, balanced meals can be easily made. I take great joy in seeing something created by our team put smiles on the faces of those who come. We enjoy educating and feeding the seniors in and around our facility. Our goal remains the same: to provide healthy, balanced, and quality meals for health and educational purposes to our Chardon community."
Heather Hill is so lucky to have a Chef like Jason and his team of professionals who are committed to quality. They demonstrate our values as an organization and the qualities of a caring friend through their carefully crafted meals.
